OUR STORY
Back in 2013, Balakrishnan R spotted a gap that India needed high-quality, cost-effective VFX. With a dedicated crew of just 5–6 industry pros, he laid the foundation for what would soon become Basilic Fly Studio.
Bootstrapped and driven, we took on every challenge head-on. During the pandemic, we quickly shifted to remote operations without missing a beat. This transition helped us scale from 150 to over 400 artists, allowing us to meet rising global ecosystem, marking the record for the time.
Today, Basilic Fly has spread its wings across Chennai, Pune, London, and Vancouver, giving clients local touchpoints with global delivery power. Our IPO in September 2023 was oversubscribed, debuting at a 179% premium on the NSE SME platform.
In July 2024, we formed a strategic collaboration with acclaimed VFX studio One of Us, a partnership that allows both studios to leverage their individual reputations for creative excellence and exceptional quality on a greater global scale.
