A Creative Journey into Visual Storytelling at VAM Awards 2025

Today marked an inspiring chapter in the world of visual storytelling at the VAM Awards 2025, proudly hosted by AnimationXpress.

The session was introduced by Lakshmanan C, Production – Operations Manager at Basilic Fly Studio, who set the tone for an afternoon filled with creativity, technology, and passion for the craft of visual effects.

Following the introduction, the spotlight turned to Lars Andersen, Visual Effects Supervisor at One of Us, who delivered an insightful presentation on the making of the much-anticipated film, “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.”
Through his talk, Lars offered an in-depth look at the creative and technical processes that went into bringing Tim Burton’s imaginative world to life. From early conceptualization to intricate VFX execution, attendees got a rare glimpse into how visual effects can enhance storytelling, breathing magic and authenticity into fantastical narratives.

The session not only celebrated the artistic and technical excellence behind the scenes but also underscored the importance of collaboration, innovation, and the relentless pursuit of visual storytelling at its finest.

A big congratulations to everyone who contributed to this enriching experience,  a true testament to the magic that happens when creativity and technology come together.

Anbukumaran Dakshinamoorthy brings over 28 years of experience in VFX, animation, and cinematography, leading complex projects and optimizing production pipelines across top studios.
