Basilic Fly Studio has been honoured with the TPN Stella Security Award and the Next-Gen TPN Gold Star Shield, the highest tier of recognition within the Trusted Partner Network program, run in alignment with the Motion Picture Association’s Content Security Best Practices.
But for us, this isn’t where our security journey begins. It’s a moment that affirms the work that has been quietly underway for years.
Why Content Security Sits at the Core of Our Studio
Visual effects work is inherently sensitive. Every project carries pre-release footage, confidential CG assets, review materials, and unfinished creative work that defines the value of a film or series long before it reaches an audience. A single leaked frame can compromise a year of creative effort and the commercial calculus of a global release.
This is why, at Basilic Fly, content security has never been treated as a compliance exercise. It is part of how the studio operates embedded in the way our infrastructure is designed, the way our teams are trained, and the way every project moves through the pipeline.
The recognitions we’ve received reflect this foundation, not the start of it.
What These Recognitions Mean
The TPN Stella Security Award acknowledges our sustained dedication to security preparedness, accountability, and responsible content handling, values that matter increasingly in a global media and entertainment supply chain where trust travels faster than content does.
The Next-Gen TPN Gold Star Shield represents the highest tier of attainment within the Trusted Partner Network program, confirming our full compliance with the MPA Content Security Best Practices and Additional Recommendations.
For a VFX studio working with global studios, streamers, and filmmakers, these are not ornaments. They are operational benchmarks that affect which projects we can be entrusted with and how deeply we can be brought into a production.
Where VFX, Technology, and Cybersecurity Meet
Modern visual effects production runs on connected systems. Artists, supervisors, producers, technology teams, and IT teams work across secure infrastructure, access-controlled environments, protected review platforms, render workflows, and delivery pipelines that must hold their integrity at every step.
Our approach to content security is built around four pillars:
Secure infrastructure: access-controlled workflows, protected systems, secure review platforms, and reliable data management practices that hold up under both routine work and edge cases.
Content protection: disciplined handling of high-value creative assets, pre-release footage, client materials, project data, and final deliveries.
Operational readiness: coordination across technology, IT, studio operations, and leadership to ensure secure workflows scale with the size and complexity of every production.
Cybersecurity preparedness: continuous monitoring, system hardening, and response capability built for an evolving digital production landscape.
Going Beyond Compliance: The Red Team Assessment
Alongside our TPN recognition, Basilic Fly Studio has also successfully completed a comprehensive Red Team Assessment, an independent exercise carried out separately from the TPN audit.
The point of a Red Team is not to confirm what’s already known. It’s to actively probe the studio’s defences against sophisticated, simulated threats, the kind that don’t show up in a checklist but that real-world adversaries use. Completing this assessment validates our ability to identify, contain, and respond to cybersecurity risks in a proactive way.
This is where modern security maturity is being measured. Compliance demonstrates that the right systems exist; a Red Team assessment demonstrates that they hold up under pressure.
The Team Behind the Standard
A studio’s security posture is only ever as strong as the people who maintain it day after day. These recognitions are the result of steady, often unseen, collaboration across multiple teams.
We extend sincere appreciation to HariHaran, Head of Technology, Dinesh Rokade, Head of IT, and Vijay, IT Manager, whose dedicated work has continually strengthened our technology infrastructure and cybersecurity practices.
We also thank Amir Shahinsha, Head of Studio, and Zameer Hussain, Chief Operating Officer and Global Executive Vice President, for their guidance and sustained support in building and maintaining a secure, trusted, and future-ready production environment.
Beyond named leadership, the studio’s wider technology, IT, and operations teams have contributed materially to the standards that support our global VFX delivery every day.
Creativity and Confidentiality, Moving Together
At Basilic Fly, creative ambition and content confidentiality are not separate priorities. They are part of the same commitment.
Every project we work on carries both artistic value and a responsibility to the studios, streamers, producers, and filmmakers who entrust us with their work, and to the audiences who haven’t yet seen it. The TPN Stella Security Award and the Next-Gen TPN Gold Star Shield are meaningful additions to this ongoing journey.
As we continue to deliver visual effects for global storytelling, we will keep advancing our secure workflows, strengthening our technology systems, and protecting content at every stage of the creative process.
This is not a destination, it’s a discipline. And one that defines how we work.
