Basilic Esports Presents: BGMI Tournament 2025

The energy inside Basilic Fly Studio was different that morning. Monitors glowed brighter, teams whispered strategies, and the excitement felt almost electric. Since 2013, Basilic Fly Studio, also known as Basilic Studio LTD, has encouraged creativity of every kind. From animation to visual effects, the studio always finds new ways to bring ideas to life. This time, that spark led us into a brand new arena, the world of gaming.
After months of planning and some healthy debates, we introduced Basilic Esports, our first-ever internal gaming event. And what better way to kick it off than with India’s favorite battleground, BGMI (Battlegrounds Mobile India).

 The Game Begins
We chose the Team Deathmatch (TDM) mode, fast-paced, thrilling, and built for action. Twelve teams from across our Chennai studio, both artists and support staff, geared up to prove their skills. You could feel the tension as the countdown began: 3…2…1… and the virtual bullets started flying.
Knockout rounds trimmed the teams from twelve to six, and two wildcard entries joined back based on total kills. Eight teams fought in the Quarter Finals, the crowd around the monitors growing louder with every headshot and comeback.

The Heat Rises
As the tournament moved to the Semi Finals, every match became a story. Shouts echoed through the floor, flank left, grenade out, and laughter followed every narrow escape. By the end of the round, two teams stood tall: The Spartans (Nagaraj & Sarath) and Lightning Warriors (Kishore & Rajamani).
The Grand Finale
We decided to make the final match big, live-screened across the studio, best of three format, lights dimmed, and the audience on edge. The Spartans started strong, rushing into battle with fearless teamwork, taking the first round 40–21.
Then came the twist. The Lightning Warriors flipped the script in round two. They drew the Spartans into their zone, set up ambushes, and stole the win 40–33. The crowd roared, chairs creaked, and hearts raced.
The final round was pure chaos, kill for kill, point for point. 1–1, 3–5, 7–7, 10–11. You could hear gasps every time the scoreboard flashed. Then, out of nowhere, the Spartans changed their approach, quiet moves, surprise attacks, and perfect timing. Within minutes, it was over. Victory to the Spartans, champions of the BGMI Tournament 2025.

Celebration and Beyond
The winners received their awards from Zameer Hussain and Amir Shahinsha, surrounded by cheers and applause. But beyond the trophies, it was the spirit of the event that mattered, artists, gamers, and friends coming together to share one screen, one goal, and endless laughs.
The Basilic Esports BGMI Tournament 2025 proved that competition can be creative too. It is only the beginning for Basilic Fly Studio, and the next round of gaming is already loading.
