On July 16, 2025, we had the pleasure of hosting postgraduate students from the Department of Visual Communication, School of Media Studies, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram. The industrial visit was designed to give students a real-world perspective on the ever-evolving landscape of VFX and animation. As one of India’s leading visual effects studios, Basilic Fly Studio has always been committed to nurturing young talent and sharing knowledge that bridges the gap between classroom learning and industry practice. During their time at the studio, students were introduced to the intricacies of the VFX pipeline, production workflows, and the collaborative process behind some of the most visually compelling sequences in film and television. Through insightful sessions and behind-the-scenes walkthroughs, they saw how creative concepts are transformed into cinematic experiences using cutting-edge tools and teamwork. The visit sparked curiosity, inspired questions, and broadened perspectives for many of the students, reaffirming their aspirations to pursue careers in media and entertainment. For us, it was equally rewarding to witness their enthusiasm and passion for the craft. As a studio deeply rooted in visual storytelling, we consider it our responsibility to engage with and empower the next generation of creators. This interaction was yet another reminder of the value of mentorship, exposure, and hands-on learning.   We thank SRM Institute for initiating this opportunity and look forward to more such collaborations that strengthen the bridge between academics and the VFX industry.

Empowering Young Women Through Health and Awareness: HPV Vaccination Camp at Kasuva Village At Basilic Fly Studio, our commitment to community well-being goes beyond our creative work. We’re proud to share the success of a meaningful initiative aimed at empowering the next generation of young women with knowledge, care, and protection. In collaboration with local partners, we recently conducted an HPV Vaccination Camp at Kasuva Village, where 70 students received the HPV vaccine�a vital step in preventing cervical cancer and promoting long-term health. But our efforts didn�t stop there. Understanding the importance of holistic health education, we also addressed a topic often overlooked�menstrual hygiene. Sanitary pads were distributed to 70 girl students, accompanied by an informative session on menstrual care, helping normalize conversations around periods and equipping students with essential knowledge and resources. To ensure our awareness session had a lasting impact, we conducted pre- and post-session questionnaires. This allowed us to measure students’ understanding of HPV, cervical cancer, and menstrual hygiene, and highlighted the value of education in transforming awareness into action. This initiative is more than a one-time event�it’s a reflection of our ongoing dedication to supporting health, hygiene, and empowerment in underserved communities.
